Obsidian Plunge at Port Broughton

The owners of this modern home on the Spencer Gulf wanted a compact plunge pool that would sit close to the house and make the most of the coastal setting. They were after a striking dark liner to contrast with the light travertine coping and rammed earth facade - something bold that would stand out against the rural landscape.

Adelaide Hybrid Pools built this 4m x 4m plunge pool in one week. The steel frame was set with a 3 step corner entry and bench seat, and the sand base prepared for the custom Aqualux Antique Black liner. Stonecraft Luna travertine coping was laid around the perimeter with a V-Lock hideaway skimmer lid sitting flush in the stone. An inground blanket box was integrated into the surround, and an SR Smith stainless steel handrail installed at the entry.
