Kidney Pool Rescue at Coromandel Valley

This kidney-shaped pool at Coromandel Valley had reached the end of its usable life. The steel panels had corroded, the coping was deteriorating, and the pool was well overdue for a full renovation. The owners wanted the pool brought back to a modern standard without the cost of a complete rebuild - preserving the existing kidney shape and brick coping while replacing the liner and fittings.

Adelaide Hybrid Pools repaired the corroded steel panels in situ without removing the existing brick coping - a precise approach that preserved the pool surround while addressing the structural issues underneath. New extrusion was fitted to suit the new liner, and the pool coping was repointed throughout.

The pool was then 3D measured with reference markers placed across the walls and floor to ensure a precision-fit custom Aqualux liner. The sand base was resurfaced before the new Maui liner was fitted. All pool fittings and fascias were replaced, and two retrofit Spa Electric LED lights were installed to add night-time usability that the pool never had before.

The finished pool is a complete transformation. The Aqualux Maui liner gives the water a vibrant deep blue across the full kidney shape and bowled deep end. The repointed brick coping ties the new liner cleanly back into the existing surround, and the two retrofit LED lights turn the pool into a glowing centrepiece at night.
