The owners of this rural Mosquito Hill property wanted to bring a neglected pool back to life. The existing pool had deteriorated beyond basic maintenance and needed a complete renovation - new liner, new equipment, and a finished surround that would sit comfortably against the native bushland and open hills beyond.
Adelaide Hybrid Pools stripped the pool back and rebuilt it to a premium standard across a 9m x 4m footprint. The Custom Malibu Classique shape features a 2 step corner entry and depths ranging from 0.9m to 1.8m. The Nylex Aqualux vinyl liner in Maui delivers a deep blue tone and a smooth, durable surface. Travertine paving was cut and laid with precision, with mitered corners and consistent joints throughout. A flush-mount inground blanket box was integrated into the surround, and frameless glass fencing installed to maintain clear sightlines to the surrounding landscape.
The equipment package was specified for performance and low maintenance. A Pentair Enviro Max variable speed pump runs the 25 inch sand filter, paired with a Pentair 24kw inverter heat pump for year-round use. A Mineral Fresh Low TDS Filtration System with pH doser handles water quality, while Spa Electric LED pool lights extend the pool well into the evening. A Maytronics robotic cleaner covers floor and wall cleaning.
The finished pool sits naturally in its rural setting. The Aqualux Maui liner gives the water a vibrant deep blue that shifts from bright and inviting during the day to a glowing centrepiece at night under the LED lighting. Travertine paving and frameless glass keep the surround clean and open, with uninterrupted views across the native gums and golden hills beyond.
